Louis Domville-Musters is an Architecture graduate, designer, photographer, and filmmaker who has always been a jack of all trades. Rather than dedicate himself to any single pursuit, he found a new one in an unexpected place.
In 2022, Louis moved to Raglan, New Zealand. Finding himself in a new town, in a country as far away from home and friends as he could be, he naturally felt a bit lonely. One day he saw a flyer for a beginners pottery class at the local arts centre. Why not? he thought—pottery had always seemed fun and it would be a good way to make some friends. Six weeks later, he had a couple of new friends and a new passion.
On returning to Devon, Louis immediately requisitioned the shed in his mum's garden to use as a studio, promising to fix the leaks, remove the ivy, and lay a new timber floor. One year on, he was as happy as ever in the shed, experimenting with form and glazing while enjoying the quiet pursuit of steady improvement.
Now Louis is based in Falmouth, where he opened Out West Studio on the Old High Street in September 2025.
